Camera.

Lately I've been feeling weird and unproductive.

I haven't written in days, and I've been putting of some rewrites passed on by an editor. I've done some writing for an ongoing project I've been piecing together, but not content for that project. Just an about the project email. It is so weird writing a guideline for contributors, but more on that closer to launch.

The other day I went out with a friend armed with my fisheye camera and took a shit ton of photos of the snow in Victoria. It was loads of fun, and even more fun to have the photos developed in less than a day of actually taking the pictures. They are here.

Be right back I'm having a mid 20's crisis.

Day 7: Blog.

Ryley in Thailand.Recently my friend Ryley launched his travel blog, Journals Abroad.

He has only had it up and running for a month or so, and it is already hands down my favourite blog to read on a daily basis. I check back several times just to see if he has posted new content about his recent journeys around Asia and India. I already can't wait to see what kind of adventures he gets up to next month in Australia.

This might seem like a shameless plug for a friends blog, but it really isn't. Ryley's blog is well written and he talks about how it really feels to travel on your own. Dealing with the loneliness, overcoming language barriers, conquering mountains, and fighting off monkeys. I highly recommend this blog to anyone who loves traveling, reading about traveling, or is interested in reading some thought provoking and well written articles.

Turn My Way

I can’t tell you how much it annoys to me to see huge chunks of lyrics copied and pasted into a blog. Right now I kind of feel like a New Order song, but I don’t want to be the person I annoy on the internet.

Today I was propositioned to give a friend some tips and such about backpacking around Europe. It is kind of fun reliving all my memories and all it does is make me want to put on my backpack again. I really need a good long holiday away from North America again.

Just look how happy I was in Bern.
I’m also working on some new things for the site. The blog will become secondary to my photo portfolio. I’ll still be writing just as much just it won’t be the main part of my website. So we will see how that goes in the coming month as I sort out my best of the best photographs.

Day 7: The Blog.

I read lots of blogs and it is always a treat finding a new one. I’m lucky to have some great friends who really picked up blogging this year Rozie, Jer, Tindy, Cassie, EleanorDavetheBrave, and Mark to name a few.

But I have to say my favourite blog this year has to be Put This On. Jesse Thorn (host of "The Sound of Young America") and Adam Lisagor (Lonely Sandwich from podcast "You Look Nice Today") started a great blog and web series about dressing like an adult.

When I check my tumblr and they’ve posted it is always a treat and makes me want to be expensive grown up clothes.

I recommend you check it out and see what all the fuss is about.

365 Women.

I'm going to Beerfest. I'm going on vacation this weekend. I'm doing things.

Speaking of doing things I was out with a friend of mine the other night you may know him as @jc_sharp on twitter, and we were discussing his new project among other things.

It's called "365 Women," and should promise to be a super interesting project. There is a good chance it might be a little funny too. Jason plans to ask out a lady a day even if it is just for coffee or drinks. It's his quest to conquer his fears (of asking out ladies) and possibly finding the "one."

Check out his brand new as of last night blog "365 Women: A year long journey to ask out 365 women."
