Sunday Update.

Tattoo by Bryan Turnbull.Yesterday was a good day.

Record Store Day is like my Christmas. But instead of getting together with the family I buy records. Almost the same thing. I got a few records, an old John Vanderslice disc, and a confederate flag with "The King" on it.

Afterwards it was pie and coffee, lunch, coffee, mini golf with Shayne and Rozie, ice cream, and more coffee with Jason. After that I went and got a new tattoo.

All in all a good day in my books.

Don't worry I haven't forgotten about my Peru stuff it is coming.

My Boring Ass Day Off.

Speaking of feeling weird I took today off from work so I could have a long weekend.

Some bastard little frog was outside my window this morning. Croaking and hopping around in the ivy. I do believe I told the little amphibian to and I quote "Shut the fuck up or I would murder its entire family by throwing them in a campfire."

The croaking stopped. Well for five minutes but that was enough time to discover I had a hang over creeping up on me.

So as I normally do in these situations I popped some pills, drank some water, made tea, and watched things on the internet. Nothing to interesting just things from the BBC documentary series "Life." I tried to figure out how I could fit so much gin in my stomach and realized it is a pretty big gut.

I popped over to my folks place to take the dog for a walk while my mom is at work and my dad is on a cross country roadtrip. I took a nap on their big comfy leather couch while watching "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." Came home to chat Fooodie with Darryl and headed into Victoria.

Met up with Shaynebow and Rozie for some Indian food. Learned Rozie is going to refer to Shayne  and I as "The Girls" since she doesn't have many friends with vaginas. After eating far to much Indian food we went and caught a rom-com because that is the most appropriate choice for three single people to make when going to the movies. "She's Out of My League" was pretty funny. Some great one liners. But your regular run of the mill rom-com.

I'm home now and blogging about my day off. So that is my boring ass day off.

Start with a title.

Yesterday I went a little stir crazy.

I think it was from lack of human contact. Apart from the computer screen I spent most of Saturday in a perpetual state of isolation and boredom.

Eventually I summoned the will to get out of my place (which wasn’t to hard) and went for a walk to the coffee shop. I sat in there for about fifteen minutes watching people go about their day picking up fresh baked items and drinking fresh brewed coffee. I sipped on my coffee, put on an audiobook, and headed home.

I spent the rest of the day dreaming of things until a friend rescued me from my own mind. Conversation was exactly what I needed. Before he showed up at the door with a bottle of whiskey I’d fallen into a monk like silence and a new found (but temporary) depression.

Today was a different story.

Good lunch with BFC crew at Swans because Cabin 12 is closed. When we all went our separate ways Shaynebow and I hit up the local Chapters were we spent 40 minutes bullshitting, and looking at books.

When we left the book store we were privileged enough to see a street fight which involved someone flying off a bicycle to punch another guy in the face. Lots of blood and I’m sure a broken nose. This launched Shayne into a rant that started with “Correct me if I’m being Hitler…” while we sat in a coffee shop. The conversation between us ended in tears, lack of air in our lungs, red faces, and odd looks from other patrons.

It was a good day.
